Principal's Message

Dear Lugo Elementary Families,

It is with happy hearts that we extend a joyous welcome to all of our Lugo Lions to the 2025-2026 school year! After a long and challenging summer season, we are very happy to welcome back our families, teachers, and staff to the Lugo pride of lions. 

This year promises to look very different from previous years, but the spirit of Lugo and the care we have for our students and community remains the same. We anticipate another successful year of collaboration with our Lugo community to bring exciting programs, valuable resources, and engaging learning experiences to our students and families. 

This year we will continue our efforts to provide our students with a rigorous education that focuses on academics as well as social emotional learning in a caring and safe environment, as stated in our vision statement:

Lugo Elementary School is an enriching learning environment that is safe, fun, and inclusive for all of our students. Instruction fosters critical thinking skills that are consistent with school-wide academic goals. All school staff are qualified, caring individuals who ensure student success and respect the cultural diversity within the school community. Parents are involved, optimistic, and integral partners in school decision-making and student learning. Students are invested in their education through independence, determination, and the desire to become productive citizens in society.
