Lynwood Unified held an unforgettable District Spelling Bee on February 21, when the top spellers across all elementary schools showcased their linguistic abilities and talents to peers, families and the Lynwood community.
As the Bee began, students were challenged to correctly spell words such as “nitrogen,” “photosynthesis” and the final winning word, “gossip.”
This year’s Top 3 winners are:
1st place: Jeremy Del Toro from Lugo Elementary School
2nd place: Marilyn Davila from Marshall Elementary School
3rd place: Jana Cabrera from Will Rogers Elementary School
